JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Creates an ESCAPE and ensures a fun-filled, entertaining, and exciting environment where the flawless delivery and execution of service excellence is paramount.
o Inspects, diagnoses, and repairs mechanical defects/ failures in various golf course maintenance equipment and other mechanical equipment used in utility work.
o Instructs and/ or trains golf course maintenance workers regarding preventative maintenance, proper cleaning of and safe operation of all equipment.
o Prioritizes equipment repair and maintenance work; oversees the shop area maintenance.
o Maintains a preventative maintenance program within budget on all equipment, purchases repair parts and replacement supplies.
o Keeps a complete set of records for equipment and parts inventory purchases, equipment conditions, costs of repairs, and preventative maintenance for all equipment.
o Spot checks equipment for performance on the course, makes emergency repairs to equipment on the course, and services or supervises servicing of equipment prior to use.
o Regulates employees’ use of equipment in absence of superintendent and assistant superintendents, if needed; performs other duties as directed by the superintendent.
o Attend all safety and/ or OSHA training sessions as required.
o Knowledge of the game of golf and understand how job performance affects the playing conditions of the golf course
o Promotes honesty and trust amongst the team.
o Promotes outstanding customer relations.
o Performs all other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
o Five (5) years experience with diesel engines, gas engines, and heavy equipment.
o Valid driver’s license required.
o Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
o Must be proficient in operation of equipment.
o Must have own tools.
o Must be able to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods of time.
o Must be able to lift Fifty (50) lbs. without difficulty.
o Ability to read, write, speak, understand or communicate in English sufficiently to perform the necessary functions of this position, American Sign Language is also an acceptable form of communication.
o Ability to consistently comprehend, retain, and execute written, verbal and/ or demonstrated directions, explanations and guidance.
o Must be able to remain flexible in an environment of constant change.
o Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
o Must be able to work a flexible schedule according to the needs of the business including evenings,
