 Job Description 


  • Operate all riding and walking equipment used for grass cutting.
  • Operate front end loader, forklift, top-dresser, roller, trencher, and tractor with attachments.
  • Operate all equipment according to manufacturers printed materials.
  • Operate a small dump truck or pickup truck when necessary.
  • Responsible for reading and understanding all safety rules for safe operation for each piece of equipment.
  • Responsible for using sound judgment when using equipment around the horses.
  • Have basic knowledge of machinery maintenance and service.
  • Perform general maintenance on all equipment.
  • Maintain constant surveillance of the grounds for safety concerns and report all maintenance repairs immediately to supervisor.
  • Attend all safety and OSHA training sessions as required.
  • Responsible for all duties associated with snow removal.
  • Promotes honesty and trust amongst the team.
  • Promotes outstanding customer relations.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.


  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision and proficient as a grounds person.
  • Previous OSHA Certified Forklift Training, a plus.
  • Must have a valid drivers license.
  • Must be able stand, sit, and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift Fifty (50) lbs. without difficulty.
  • Must be able to work in extremes of weather on roofs, ladders, and scaffolding.
  • Must be able to remain flexible in an environment of constant change.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, understand or communicate in English sufficiently to perform the necessary functions of this position. American Sign Language is also an acceptable form of communication.
  • Ability to consistently comprehend, retain, and/ or execute written, verbal and/or demonstrated directions, explanations and guidance.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule according to the needs of the business including evenings, weekends and holidays.
