JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Director of Human Resources is responsible for the overall success of the Company’s human resources functions, including but not limited to: effective HR software utilization; recruitment/on-boarding, employee relations, compensation and benefits, training, labor relations, and legal compliance. Related responsibilities include:

  • Development and implementation of plans and procedures that relate to company goals.
  • Planning, organizing, and implementing activities and actions of HR department personnel.
  • Responsibility for the development and recommendation of HR department goals, objectives, and systems.

The responsibilities involve successful execution/oversight of the following tasks:

  • Creating and revising job descriptions.
  • Conducting competitive surveys.
  • Developing, analyzing, and updating: department’s budget; evaluation program; policies and procedures; benefit assessment; administrative practices; on-boarding; and employee relations to achieve company goals.
  • Creating and fostering a collaborative relationship with company leaders that effectively achieves company goals.
  • Ensuring compliance with all Federal, State, and Local employment laws.
  • Administering and analyzing trends and potential changes in employment law, compensation and benefits.
  • Promote and implement coaching and training of the HR team and company leadership.
  • Promoting campaigns fostering favorable community relations.
  • Participating in professional organizations that promote the development of Delaware Park.
  • Performing all other duties as assigned.
  • Promote outstanding customer relations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in Human Resources Administration, labor relations, with advanced knowledge of employment law.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, written and oral communication skills required.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Must be able to stand, sit, walk, and kneel for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule based on business needs which includes days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
