|
The VP of Food & Beverage reports directly to the General Manager, and will oversee the delivery of an outstanding food and beverage experience at Delaware Park Casino and Racing. They are responsible for leading the restaurant management team to achieve operational and financial goals of all restaurants and food concepts.
*The incumbent will also be challenged with new concept design and implementation and will lead the F&B team through a period of change management while continuing to provide outstanding customer and dining experiences.Â
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES:
- Responsible for the administration, operation, and direct management of all food and beverage departments, including all related management functions to ensure an exceptional guest experience
- Lead by example and foster a positive work environment for all team members
- Develop a team spirit focused on exceptional guest service
- Monitor guest feedback as provided through our ongoing guest survey and adjust strategy as needed
- Develop and implement an operating plan that focuses on exceeding budgeted goals both top and bottom line
- Meet or exceed all labor and food cost percentage goals
- Collaborate with all departments to help achieve the company’s overall objectives
- Regularly communicate with Marketing to ensure that branding and promotions are in alignment with current operations
- Responsible for recruiting, hiring, training and performance management across all F&B departments
- Monitor competition and adjust performance and product offering as needed
- Adjust menu items and specials to offer our guests a variety of options
- Perform other job-related duties as requested
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS/BA degree in related field, and/or at least ten (10) years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to actively influence and drive collaboration at various levels within and outside of the organization
- Have experience managing multiple venues
- Ability to provide leadership and direction through engaging, developing and mentoring of employees
- Ability to create an atmosphere that makes our guests want to return by giving each guest a positive, memorable entertainment experience
- Present an image of excitement, enthusiasm, excellence and professionalism
- Excellent organizational, communication and multi-tasking skills
- Must possess excellent time management skills, along with forecasting the time management needs of others
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license with state of Delaware
- Must also possess or be able to obtain any applicable health certifications
- Knowledge of applicable Sanitation Laws, Health and OSHA Regulations, and Alcohol Beverage Control Laws
- Must be able to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
