The Marketing Coordinator will report to the Vice President of Marketing and will assist with branding, advertising and social media for Delaware Park Casino and Racing. 

 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists with the creation and posting of social content on all Delaware Park Casino & Racing social channels including, but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Linked In
  • Assists with the writing and trafficking of radio scripts with fresh content promoting the property and any current promotions
  • Organizes all Advertising contracts with radio stations, billboard agencies and other vendors as needed.
  • Adheres to the approved budgets at all times under the direction of the Vice President of Marketing.
  • Assists with photo shoots as needed
  • Acts as a liaison for the PR agency, assisting with executing initiatives and proofing press releases
  • Understanding of casino gaming language relative to VLT, table games and Racing Operations, preferred.
  • Provides administrative support to Marketing leadership and assists in report preparation as needed.
  • Coordinates and disseminates communications and correspondence to all departments.
  • Assists with the maintenance of Delaware Park Casino & Racing’s website including but not limited to updating promotions, hours of operation and all restaurant menus as needed.
  • Walks casino property routinely to ensure signage and collateral are accurate, in brand and in locations intended.
  • Assists with Promotions & Special Events as needed.
  • Acts with discretion and maintains confidentiality in handling of sensitive information.
  • Interfaces daily with personnel form various departments.
  • Assists with the Programs Mailbox with guest inquiries – researching and responding to needs of guests.
  • Communicate (both written and verbal) with and promote positive team member and guest relations.
  • Maintain professionalism at all times when working with other team members and/or guests.
  • Assists the Marketing Department with any duties as assigned
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, College Degree preferred
  • Marketing experience preferred
  • Must be able to successfully complete the background check and licensing process, required by the Delaware State Lottery.
  • Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Knowledge of MS Office required, graphic art programs a plus.
  • Ability to work directly supervised, independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively in groups
  • Maintains confidentiality with regards to employee concerns and sensitive department information.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule according to business needs, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to consistently comprehend, retain, and/or execute written, verbal and/or demonstrated directions, explanations and guidance.
